Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Is Closed
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat programme in 2021 to give low-income families a discount on essential food items. However, the programme is now closed. The Utility Stores Corporation, the main channel for the subsidy, closed on 31 July 2025. Therefore, no Rashan subsidy is available at Utility Stores in 2026.
The Government of Pakistan ran the programme for verified low-income households only. Eligibility checks applied at the time. However, those checks no longer open a new subsidy, because the programme has ended.

Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Card No Longer Provides a Subsidy
The old Rashan discount card no longer provides a subsidy at Utility Stores, because the stores and the subsidy have closed. Therefore, a card cannot reopen the programme.
What the Programme Used to Provide

What to Do Now After Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Closed
The closure of the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat subsidy at Utility Stores is final for the old programme. Therefore, Punjab residents can check the separate CM Punjab Ration Card, which offers a monthly subsidy of Rs. 3,000 to about 1.25 million deserving families for items such as flour, rice, sugar, and ghee. It is a Punjab programme, not a federal relaunch of Ehsaas Rashan.
Finally, for other support, check your BISP status through the official 8171 channels only. Do not pay agents, and do not trust messages that promise Rashan money.
