Government Directives and Legal Reforms

Introduction of NADRA’s Contactless Biometric System

Facial Recognition-Based Verification Certificates
From 20 January 2026, NADRA will issue facial recognition-based biometric verification certificates nationwide. These certificates are meant for citizens whose fingerprint verification fails. A citizen can obtain the certificate from any NADRA Registration Centre for a fee of Rs 20.

Institutional Readiness and Future Access
