Sasta Ramazan Bazar
Food and drinks are the basic needs of every household, and the Sasta Ramzan Bazar had everything needed to set the table. However, the prices of essential commodities rose across the country during Ramadan 2026 — which is now complete. In response, the Government of Punjab set up cheap Ramazan bazaars at various places. As a result, the public got relief in food purchases during the holy month.
Shoppers could easily buy everything they needed from these markets at low prices. In fact, the Chief Minister of Punjab converted 74 Sahulat Bazaars into Ramazan Bazaars for Ramadan 2026. In addition, 16 essential items sold at prices up to 10% below the DC-notified rates — the old claim of 25% discounts no longer applies. Finally, Mrs. Maryam Nawaz Sharif herself visited the Ramazan bazaars to check that shopkeepers followed the rate list.
During Ramadan 2026, the sasta Ramazan bazaars followed slightly different timings from normal bazaars. Specifically, they stayed open from dawn until seven in the evening. Therefore, families could buy everything they needed at very low rates. The bazaars also offered free home delivery within 5 km.

کھانے پینے کی اشیاء ہر گھر کی بنیادی ضروریات ہیں، اور سستے رمضان بازاروں میں دسترخوان سجانے کی تمام اشیاء موجود تھیں۔ رمضان المبارک کے دوران ملک میں اشیائے ضروریہ کی قیمتوں میں اضافہ ہو گیا تھا۔ اس لیے حکومت پنجاب نے رمضان المبارک کے دوران عوام کو اشیائے خوردونوش کی خریداری میں ریلیف فراہم کرنے کے لیے مختلف مقامات پر سستے رمضان بازار لگائے۔
جس میں لوگ بازار سے اپنی ضرورت کی تمام چیزیں باآسانی کم ریٹ پر خرید سکتے تھے۔ وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے اس رمضان میں پنجاب کے تمام لوگوں کو ریلیف فراہم کرنے کے لیے رمضان بازار کا بھی اہتمام کیا۔
ان بازاروں میں، 16 ضروری اشیاء ڈی سی کے مقرر کردہ نرخوں سے 10 فیصد تک کم قیمت پر فروخت کی گئیں۔ تمام ضروری اشیاء باآسانی دستیاب تھیں، اور محترمہ مریم نواز شریف خود رمضان بازاروں کا دورہ کرتی رہیں جہاں ریٹ لسٹ کی چیکنگ کی گئی۔
Ramzan Bazaar 2026 Rate List
For Ramadan 2026, the Government of Punjab fixed the price of every item sold in the Ramazan Bazaars. Officials handed the rate list to all shopkeepers. In addition, Maryam Nawaz warned of legal action against anyone who violated the rate list. The official 2026 rate list was as follows:

Ramzan Nigehban Package
Ms Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the Nigehban Ramadan Package 2026 for deserving and underprivileged people. Under this package, about 3.4 million families across Punjab received a one-time cash assistance of Rs 10,000 each. The Bank of Punjab paid the money through the Nigehban Card. In total, the package cost Rs 39 billion. The distribution process has now finished.
The package targeted families registered in the PSER survey with a monthly income below Rs 45,000, along with BISP beneficiaries and other deserving low-income households across Punjab.
Nigehban Card Mechanism
Each eligible family received a Nigehban Card issued by the Bank of Punjab. Officials delivered the cards to families at their homes. Cardholders could activate them at 136 activation centres across the province or at Bank of Punjab ATMs. In addition, cardholders could withdraw the Rs 10,000 cash assistance or spend it at more than 17,000 linked grocery stores.
Maryam Ki Sunain
The “Maryam Ki Sunain” initiative ran alongside the main package and reached families that needed extra help. Under it, officials distributed Rs 10,000 to 45,000 families. In addition, around 4 million people availed Iftar at 422 Iftar dastarkhwans across Punjab during Ramadan 2026.
Rs 37 Billion for Ramadan 2027
Looking ahead, the Punjab government has allocated Rs 37 billion in the 2026–27 provincial budget for the next Ramadan relief package. Officials will announce the Ramadan 2027 package details closer to the holy month. Until then, watch official announcements for registration and assistance details.

Supply of Quality Items
Through the Nigehban Ramadan package and the cheap Ramadan bazaars, the Punjab government ensured the supply of quality goods in every way. Officials gave strict instructions to monitor the quality of goods and the distribution process. Maryam Nawaz herself visited the Ramadan bazaars. As a result, markets properly implemented the quality standards and price lists.
Maryam Nawaz instructed the Food Minister to allow no compromise on the quality of goods. She ordered zero tolerance for non-standard items. Consumers got quality, standard goods, and officials took strict action wherever they found adulteration in these markets.
