Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ 2026
The Government of Pakistan has officially declared a nationwide public holiday on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, corresponding to 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH, to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
All federal and provincial government offices, educational institutions, and most private businesses will remain closed on this day so citizens can take part in religious gatherings, Milad processions, and other observances held across the country.

Why This Day Matters
Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ is one of the most significant dates on the Islamic calendar for Muslims in Pakistan. The day is marked with:

- Illumination of streets, mosques, and public buildings
