In 2025, Chief Minister Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced eight new model bazaars for Punjab. Workers were to build them within six months in areas lacking this facility. As a result, the PSBA now runs the model bazaars across the province in 2026, and the network has grown to 46 convenience markets in 35 cities.
The eight new locations announced were Mandi Bahauddin, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Pattoki, Chiniot, Bhalwal, Okara, and Chunian. These were chosen because people there had no model bazaar nearby.

یہ ماڈل مارکیٹیں ان علاقوں میں تعمیر کی جائیں گی جہاں پہلے یہ سہولت دستیاب نہیں تھی۔ منڈی بہاوالدین، کوٹ ادو، مظفر گڑھ، پتوکی، چنیوٹ، بھلوال، اوکاڑہ اور چونیاں کو نئی ماڈل مارکیٹوں کے لیے منتخب کیا گیا ہے۔
