Agriculture Graduate Internship Program 2026-27
The Agriculture Department’s internship scheme gives young agriculture graduates practical field training along with a monthly stipend. The first phase is now complete. As a result, the department has lined up fresh intakes for 2026-27.
Phase 1 (Completed)
The Agriculture Graduate Internship Program has closed its first phase. Under it, 1,000 agriculture graduates completed a 12-month paid internship with a monthly stipend of Rs 60,000. The department also issued completion certificates in March 2026.
Phase 2 (2025 — Closed)
Phase 2 ran in 2025 with 2,000 seats and the same monthly stipend of Rs 60,000. Only BSc (Hons) Agriculture or Agricultural Engineering graduates from HEC-recognised institutions could apply. Furthermore, the department made selections on merit with a district quota. Candidates applied through the offices of the Deputy Director of Agriculture (Extension) in each district. Meanwhile, the Agriculture Helpline 0800-17000 (8 am to 8 pm) handled queries. Finally, this round has now closed.

Chief Minister Internship Program (CMIP) — 2024 Round
The Chief Minister Internship Program (CMIP) is the Punjab government’s general youth internship scheme, run by the Youth Affairs and Sports Department. Its single intake ran in 2024: 6,000 merit-based internships, each lasting 6 months, with a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000. The last date for that round was 30 September 2024, and as of September 2026 no new round has been announced. Watch for future rounds on the official Punjab Portal page.
CMIP Eligibility Criteria

- Holds a Punjab domicile.
- Meets the educational qualification given in the official advertisement.
How to Apply for CMIP
The 2024 round accepted applications online and closed on 30 September 2024, and no new round has been announced as of September 2026. When a future round opens, apply only through the official Punjab Portal — and never pay anyone who promises you an internship seat, a common fraud warned about by independent guides tracking this scheme.
