BISP Savings Scheme 2026 40 percent matching grant pilot districts

BISP Savings Scheme

The BISP Savings Scheme is an important part of the Benazir Income Support Programme. Through this scheme, poor people have also been encouraged to save. Poor and deserving people can also save money for a better future.

Applicants must be residents of the selected pilot districts to join the scheme. You have to open a savings account in the bank and deposit a certain amount every month. The government matches 40% of your total savings contribution, credited on a quarterly basis — it is a matching grant, not monthly profit.

The duration of this scheme is two years. The principal amount you deposit cannot be withdrawn before the two years end, but the 40% government top-up can be withdrawn. If you terminate the scheme early, you will not be able to rejoin.
