BISP Taleemi Wazaif Payment Procedure 2026

BISP Taleemi Wazaif Payment Procedure 2026

The BISP Taleemi Wazaif payment procedure for 2026 is simple: quarterly education stipends are released together with the mother’s Benazir Kafalat installment, and an SMS from 8171 confirms when the money is ready to collect. This guide explains the official 2026 stipend rates, how to receive the payment step by step, how to check your status, and what to do if your fingerprints fail at the payment machine.

The Benazir Kafalat program provides quarterly cash support — currently Rs. 14,500 — to deserving families across Pakistan, and Taleemi Wazaif adds an education stipend for every enrolled child of an active beneficiary.

To keep receiving the stipend every quarter, children must maintain at least 70% school attendance. BISP verifies attendance with the school before releasing each quarterly installment.

If your child is not enrolled yet, read our Benazir Taleemi Wazaif enrollment guide to complete registration at your nearest BISP Tehsil Office.

Official Taleemi Wazaif Stipend Rates 2026

BISP pays a higher quarterly stipend for girls to encourage their education. These are the official government rates per quarter, per the BISP press release dated 10 March 2026 (which raised all Taleemi Wazaif stipends by Rs. 500):

LevelBoysGirls
PrimaryRs. 2,000Rs. 2,500
SecondaryRs. 3,000Rs. 3,500
Higher SecondaryRs. 4,000Rs. 4,500

Girls who complete primary school also receive a one-time graduation bonus of Rs. 3,000.

How to Receive the Stipend: Step by Step

  • The quarterly stipend is released together with the mother’s Kafalat installment (currently Rs. 14,500).
  • You receive an SMS from 8171 confirming that the payment is available.
  • Visit the nearest BISP payment point, partner-bank retailer, or HBL biometric ATM.
  • Bring your original CNIC and the mobile number registered with BISP.
  • Verify your thumb impression on the biometric machine.
  • Collect your cash and always take the printed receipt.
  • Never pay any fee or commission — Taleemi Wazaif payments are completely free.

Check your payment status before visiting the payment point. There are two official ways:

1. SMS: Type your 13-digit CNIC number and send it to 8171. You will receive a reply with your eligibility and payment status.

2. Web portal: Enter your CNIC on the 8171 web portal (8171.bisp.gov.pk) to check your status online.

If your thumb impression fails at the payment machine, read our guide on finger verification in BISP before trying the steps below.

What to Do If Your Fingerprints Fail

Important: biometric verification is required for every Taleemi Wazaif payment — there is no official way to receive the stipend “without finger verification.” If your fingerprints fail at the machine, follow this verified fallback chain:

  • Try again with a different finger, or use another biometric machine or retailer — worn prints sometimes work on a second attempt.
  • Get your fingerprints updated at the nearest NADRA office, then retry the payment.
  • If NADRA cannot capture your fingerprints, obtain a NADRA Facial Recognition Certificate.
  • Visit your nearest BISP Tehsil Office with your CNIC and the NADRA certificate to apply for the non-BVS (nominee) payment route.
  • For help at any step, call the BISP helpline 0800-26477 — and never pay an agent.
