Ramadan school timings in Punjab
The Punjab government has announced revised Ramadan school timings in Punjab to make it easier for students and teachers observing the fast during the holy month. This decision was shared through a notification issued by the School Education Department on February 16. The new schedule will be implemented across all educational institutions in the province to ensure convenience and maintain smooth academic activities during Ramadan.
New Timings for Single-Shift Schools
For single-shift schools, the new Ramadan school timings in Punjab have been adjusted to accommodate fasting students and staff. From Monday to Thursday, classes will now be held from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. On Fridays, schools will close slightly earlier at 12:30 pm. These revised timings aim to help students and teachers manage their energy levels while observing the fast, without compromising their studies.

Revised Schedule for Double-Shift Schools
Double-shift schools will also follow updated timings during Ramadan.
- The morning shift will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm from Monday to Thursday.
- The second shift will take place from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the same days.
- On Fridays, the second shift will operate from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
These adjustments ensure that students attending both shifts have sufficient time to manage their fasts and academic responsibilities comfortably.

Special Instructions for Girls’ Schools
The Punjab government has also provided special instructions for schools exclusively for female students. These schools will open 15 minutes earlier than the regular timings and will close 15 minutes earlier as well. This measure ensures additional comfort and convenience for female students during Ramadan while keeping them aligned with the revised Ramadan school timings in Punjab.
