This new step aims to modernise the examination process and improve transparency in paper checking.

The exams will begin across Punjab from March 9, and around 10 lakh students are expected to appear in the examination.

First Time Introduction of E-Sheet System

This year, the Punjab 8th Grade Board Exam will not follow the traditional answer sheet method. Instead, students will write their answers on specially designed e-sheets. After the exams, these answer sheets will be scanned digitally.

Once scanned, the papers will be checked through a digital system. This process is expected to make marking more accurate, fair, and transparent. It will also reduce the chances of errors and speed up the result preparation process.

The introduction of the e-sheet system marks an important step towards modernisation in Punjab’s education system.
