NADRA Complaint Redressal System
NADRA is an organization created by the Government of Pakistan that millions of Pakistanis rely on for their CNIC family registration and identity-related services. Therefore, any data entered that goes wrong, a delayed CNIC, incorrect data or a rejected application is a problem. To save citizens from the hassle of visiting the office again and again, NADRA has set up a central information and complaint redressal system to resolve pending issues and problems.
This guide explains how the complaints system works, which helpline numbers to use to file a complaint and what to expect.
What Is the NADRA Complaint Redressal System?
The Central Information and Complaints Redressal System is NADRA’s official channel for handling citizen complaints related to CNIC issuance, NICOP, family registration certificates, and other identity documents. Instead of visiting a NADRA office in person for every issue, applicants can report problems directly through the helpline, and the system tracks the complaint until it’s resolved.
NADRA Helpline Numbers
NADRA operates two main contact numbers for complaints and general queries:
| Contact Type | Number |
|---|---|
| Landline / PSTN callers | 051-111-786-100 |
| Mobile users (all networks in Pakistan) | 1777 |
Both these numbers help you connect with a live NADRA representative who can listen to and register your complaints or answer questions regarding the status of your application.

How to File a Complaint with NADRA
Filing a complaint through the helpline is simple and doesn’t require any paperwork upfront. Here’s the process:
- Call the NADRA helpline — Dial 1777 from your mobile phone, or 051-111-786-100 if you’re calling from a landline.
- Explain your issue clearly — Tell the representative exactly what problem you’re facing (delayed CNIC, incorrect details, rejected application, etc.).
- Share your identity details — You’ll be asked to confirm your CNIC number and other basic identity information so NADRA can pull up your record.
- Receive a complaint number — Once your complaint is registered, the representative will issue you a unique complaint/tracking number. Keep this safe, as it’s your reference for any follow-up.
Why the Complaint Number Matters
The complaint number acts as proof that your issue has been officially logged in NADRA’s system. You can use it to:
- Follow up on the status of your complaint in future calls.
- Escalate the matter if it isn’t resolved within a reasonable time.
- Provide a reference if you visit a NADRA office in person later.
Without this number, tracking progress becomes much harder, so always ask for it before ending the call.

Tips Before You Call
- Keep your CNIC number and any application/tracking slip ready before dialling.
- Note down the date and time of your call along with the complaint number for your own record.
- If your issue isn’t resolved after a reasonable follow-up period, consider visiting your nearest NADRA registration centre with the complaint number in hand.
