Benazir Nashonuma Program 2026: Registration, Eligibility & Quarterly Stipend Guide

Benazir Nashonuma Program 2026

The Benazir Nashonuma Program is a conditional cash transfer program run by BISP for pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under two years of age in Benazir Kafalat households. It provides quarterly cash stipends along with specialized nutritious food and health services to prevent stunting and malnutrition. Importantly, there is no online or at-home registration: mothers must register in person at a Nashonuma Facilitation Centre.

The program’s main purpose is to improve maternal and child nutrition during the first 1,000 days — from conception until the child’s second birthday. Therefore, registered women receive quarterly assistance only when they complete the required health checkups, and children must receive their routine immunizations on schedule.

To join the program, visit your nearest Nashonuma Facilitation Centre — usually located in a District Headquarters (DHQ) or Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital — with your documents. The centre staff will verify your Kafalat record, screen the pregnancy or the child, and complete your registration on the spot.

At the centre, a health worker will check the mother’s CNIC and family record, confirm the pregnancy or the child’s age, and record biometric verification. This program fights child stunting, wasting, anemia, and maternal malnutrition — not through cash alone, but through regular growth monitoring, nutrition counselling, and free specialized nutritious food at every quarterly visit.

Before visiting a centre, confirm your Kafalat status by sending your 13-digit CNIC number by SMS to 8171.

Check Eligibility Before Joining The Program

First, you must already be an active Benazir Kafalat beneficiary — Nashonuma is a sub-program and you cannot join it without Kafalat enrollment. Check your Kafalat status by sending your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes) by SMS to 8171, or enter it on the 8171 web portal with the captcha code. If the reply shows you as eligible, visit a Nashonuma Facilitation Centre to complete your Nashonuma registration.

BNP 3.0: Program Extension

In July 2026, BISP extended the program for three more years with WFP, UNICEF and WHO (BNP 3.0), aiming to reach 8 million mothers and children through 558 facilitation centres in 158 districts.

On 19 October 2026, BISP signed a Joint Statement of Collaboration with UN Women and the World Food Programme (WFP) to make Pakistan’s social protection system more gender-responsive. The partnership will strengthen beneficiaries’ awareness of their rights and entitlements, counselling, maternal and child health, and the quality of services at Benazir Nashonuma centres, and promote women’s skills development, livelihoods, entrepreneurship, and financial and digital inclusion. With more than 10 million women receiving quarterly support under Benazir Kafaalat, the three agencies also committed to making service centres safer and more dignified for women and improving the safety of women frontline staff.
