HBL disbursing BISP 8171 payments — Oct–Dec 2026 cycle collection guide

Habib Bank Limited (HBL) is one of the Benazir Income Support Programme’s partner banks for disbursing Benazir Kafalat payments. For the current October–December 2026 quarter, eligible beneficiaries receive Rs. 14,500, released phase-wise by district through December 2026. However, there is no single nationwide start date — BISP has posted no fixed schedule for October, so always check your own district’s phase before visiting a collection point.

This guide covers the current quarter’s amount, how district-phase releases work, the official way to check your payment status, what documents to carry, where to collect your money, and the new free Benazir digital wallet.

October–December 2026 Payment: What to Know

The October–December 2026 quarterly installment under Benazir Kafalat is Rs. 14,500. The previous July–September 2026 quarter closed on 30 September 2026.

Instead, payments for the current quarter are being released in district-wise phases through December 2026 — not on one single date across Pakistan. For example, if your neighbour has received the payment and you have not, your district’s phase may simply not have started yet. Therefore, re-check your status on the official portal rather than visiting a collection point repeatedly.

Also, do not trust viral posts claiming a fixed ‘BISP payment date’ for October, and ignore claims that the current installment is Rs. 18,000 — for the October–December 2026 quarter the confirmed amount is Rs. 14,500.

How BISP District Phases Work

BISP releases each quarterly installment in district-wise phases (sometimes called clusters) so that payment centres are not overcrowded. As a result, the phased system is designed to prevent congestion at distribution sites, keep the payment process smooth and orderly, and ensure transparent, equitable access for all beneficiaries.

HBL serves as a BISP partner bank: beneficiaries in Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan can collect through HBL biometric ATMs and HBL retailers. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Bank Alfalah is the partner bank. BISP campsites and BISP tehsil offices remain collection points in every district.

Check Your BISP 8171 Payment Status

Checking your status is free and takes less than a minute:

  • SMS method: send your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes) by SMS to 8171. You will receive a reply with your eligibility and payment status.
  • Online method: visit the official portal 8171.bisp.gov.pk, enter your 13-digit CNIC and the captcha code, and submit to see your payment status.

Then, go to collect your payment only after you receive the 8171 payment message. In addition, never pay any agent or shopkeeper for a status check — both methods are completely free.

Documents to Take When Collecting

When you go to collect your Rs. 14,500 installment, carry:

  • Your original, valid CNIC
  • The 8171 payment confirmation SMS on your phone
  • Any previous payment receipt or token, if you have one

Finally, count your full amount at the counter and take a receipt before leaving.

Where to Collect Your Payment

Collect your installment from any of these verified points:

  • An HBL branch, HBL biometric ATM or HBL retailer (Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan)
  • A Bank Alfalah channel (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan)
  • The BISP campsite or BISP tehsil office in your district

Therefore, visit early in the day to avoid long queues, and carry your original CNIC. For a detailed phase-wise breakdown of the current quarter, see our BISP Phase 3 payment distribution guide. Free Benazir Digital Wallet — New in 2026

Since mid-2026, BISP has been moving payments to free Benazir digital wallets (the Social Protection Wallet). Eligible women collect a free Benazir SIM in person at a BISP office or designated campsite — the SIM and wallet activation are completely free. Never pay anyone for the SIM or wallet opening.

How to Use the Wallet

Next, once your payment SMS arrives, you can withdraw from any authorised retailer of the partner banks in any city — you are not limited to your home district. However, a fixed service charge of Rs. 280 applies to each cash withdrawal; online transfers and RAAST transfers are free. In addition, the money can safely stay in your wallet — you do not have to withdraw it the same day.

Finally, if an agent deducts money from your installment or demands a fee, report it on the BISP helpline 0800-26477. Remember: 8171 is BISP’s only official number — messages or calls from any other number asking for a fee, OTP or PIN are fraud. More on the programme’s official channels at BISP’s official website.

The October–December 2026 BISP installment of Rs. 14,500 is being released phase-wise by district through December 2026. So, check your status free via 8171 SMS or 8171.bisp.gov.pk, collect only after your payment message arrives, and never pay agents for the free SIM, wallet or status check.
